For 24 hours last week, Estifanos was an only child. We dropped the girls off at their respective schools and went to the hospital for his surgery. Nana and Popa picked the girls up, and kept them overnight so that we could deal with E (not knowing how his recovery would go). Now, keep in mind, we’ve never had just one child, so this is kind of new to us.  Maybe it was because he was bed ridden for part of it. Maybe it was because we both took the day off work, so we actually had energy to play with him after he had fully recovered. I’m sure boredom about not having siblings would have set in sometime during hour number 25.  But I have to say, one kid is considerably easier than three.

It may have been easier, but it certainly wasn’t as much fun as having a house full of kids.
