We had a wonderful Easter this week except for Yordie got the stomach flu last week, and gave it to Brian and I.  Meron and Estifanos were both saved thank goodness for that because it has been a nasty virus.

On Good Friday we dyed Easter eggs.  Boy was that a fun experience. The kids loved it once they figured out how to write on the eggs with the invisible crayon, and when they learned that egg dye wasn’t to drink. On Easter Sunday before we went to mass the Easter Bunny came.  The kids liked the candy the best especially the PEEPS.  They were a little abrehensive at first of eating both PEEPS and deviled eggs, but then they realized that looks don’t make the taste.

They went on an egg hunt at my aunt’s house on Easter.  Yordie and her cousin who is close to her age were suppose to go first to have a head start.  At 19 months old, he decided  he would rather cry then hunt.  She took to it like a fish takes to water.  She even grabbed eggs away from her older brother and sister when they were hunting.   The kids had a great first Easter filled with love, and hope for the future.  It is amazing to watch holidays through children’s eyes especially when they are experiencing it for the first time.
